What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda, meaning "the science of life" in Sanskrit, is one of the world's oldest holistic healing systems. Developed more than 5,000 years ago in India, it's based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit.
Unlike modern medicine that often focuses on treating symptoms, Ayurveda emphasizes prevention and encourages maintaining health through close attention to balance in one's life, right thinking, diet, lifestyle, and the use of herbs.
The Three Doshas
In Ayurveda, every person has a unique constitution made up of three vital energies called doshas. Understanding your dominant dosha is key to optimal health.

Kapha
Earth + Water
